Suzanne Ship
Suzanne has been the driving force for ICT excellence at Engayne Primary School (NOR620) in Havering since its amalgamation in 2001. She has led the new school into the 21st Century with an ambitious and highly successful ICT plan which involved skilful collaboration with education and commercial partners.
Under her leadership, Engayne is now a lead school for ICT, having achieved the ICT Mark in 2008 and in 2009 the prestigious Becta ICT Excellence Award for Leadership, Management and Collaboration (RU).
The many visitors to Engayne include Japanese Ministry of Education delegates who, have visit the school or the past four years to look at a range of leadership themes, including ICT.
As a member of the management board of the National Outstanding Primary Schools SCITT, Suzanne plays an integral part in developing its strategic vision and regularly delivers training to large numbers of teacher trainees and mentors.
