Claire Dicks
Claire Dicks joined the Department’s Educational Procurement Centre in 2006. Heading up the Technology Delivery Team, Claire’s remit covers the development and delivery of the OPEN, the online marketplace designed specifically for schools to be make the process of buying goods and services faster, cheaper and simpler.
Prior to this, she was part of the team responsible for implementing and developing e-procurement across all the Councils departments including schools. During this period Cambridgeshire County Council achieved Beacon status in procurement and a large contributory factor was the work done with Schools. She has also spent a number of years in procurement for the Ministry of Defence, and Barclays Bank covering a number of financial disciplines.
Claire has starred in two series of Teachers TV programmes assisting schools to save money and, is a member of Society of Purchasing Officers (SOPO) has a Diploma and holds an Executive Diploma with the Institute of leadership and Management (ILM).
